Hi, The four main vendors of archive/issue-processing systems in Norway all supports OpenOffice.org more or less. Briefly those systems creates template-based documents for different purposes, where meta-data are merged automatically from the issue-prossesing part - into the document.
Three of the producers have made a bloated merging process based on macroes (the old Microsoft-way). One of them executes the integration via the xml-structures in ODF. This is also the most successful integration, as all the processing by producing a document - is performed on the server - not on the workstation, like the macro-based method claims. But - we observate that all the four vendors/producers never make any marketing-efforts to promote their OpenOffice.org based solutions. In most cases they have been forced to have an OOo-integration from customers in bid-processes. Another part of this story is that all the four vendors are Microsoft Gold Certified partners.
