I found on ebay some users selling the Open Office disk with a tag on the

I was wondering if anyone could do that since Open Office is available free

permit to reproduce it and sell a copy of the cd with the intention of

yes carlos, free software allows you to sell it and give support on top of
it and charge a price on it.

However, you have to satisfy the license conditions, e. g. provide the source code. You do not necessarily need to give support in order to be allowed to sell a copy of OOo. For using the brand you need the permit from Oracle Corporation.

eBay generally forbids the sale of self-burned cd-roms, no matter what content under which license (this is at least true for eBay in Germany).
