Sergio Fernández commented on MARMOTTA-408:
-------------------------------------------
If you are interested on working on this feature, your help is always welcomed.
But take into account that, even if having some base code could help in some
eligibility criteria, there is no warranty that you could be selected for the
GSoC 2014.
Back to the feature itself, personally I'm not an expert on MBeans/JMX, but in
principle most of the things you commented make sense. If you want to start
with a PoC, just fork our code mirror at github, and start to experiment there
with some of those ideas, and we'll see...

> We should use JMX for monitoring different aspects of the Marmotta system,
> e.g. the caching statistics. This should replace the existing
> StatisticsService, providing a new infrastructure to store and push via JMX
> different parameters, allowing to monitor Marmotta from any of the available
> JMX tools.
