Michael Los commented on MARMOTTA-524:
--------------------------------------

Sebastain: Am unsure if your comment is directed to me as a reporter or the
developers
I had to switch to PostreSQL.

When using MariaDB, both the database and user were created in advance. I had
used a remote client to connect to the database to confirm permissions were
good, etc.

FWIW: When I first tried connecting to PostgreSQL, I had gotten the same stack
trace and I determined it was because I hadn't properly configured PostgreSQL
to allow the remote connection to occur. Once I could connect using a client
like pgadmin, I had no issues connecting Marmotta.

Since I needed to press forward, I didn't go back and re-install MariaDB and
try again but realize the stack trace, more than likely, means some kind of
error is being returned by MariaDB.
