Hi Saikat,

Coming interested to those issues directly made me think that you were preparing GSoC 2015; apologize for that wrong interpretation.

You are welcomed to contribute in whatever way you can. Read about The Apache way and meritocracy, participate in the community, help users, write documentation, submit issues, send patches, propose ideas, etc. Please, do not constraint yourself to idea already registered in Jira. Feel free to work on whatever you think is interesting and relevant for the community and things will come in a natural way.

Welcome!

Hello Sergio,

Thank you so much for your reply. I would like to contribute to Marmotta as
a project member but not as part of GSoc. I noticed in the project home
page that you are looking for new committers to join the development team
and I would like to be part of the team.

I am looking for research topic and development projects in area of
Semantic web and Linked data. I responded to the issues in jira labeled as
gsoc because those are likely to be targeted for student community. I would
like to work on the topic for my final year dissertation and to be a new
committer for Marmotta.

Regards
Saikat

Hi,

Apache Marmotta is a community project open to contributions for
everybody. You can fork the code at github, report issues, provide patches,
improve the documentation, etc. You have some mode details at:

   http://marmotta.apache.org/development#Contributing

Please, notice that contributing should not be only bound to funded
programs, such as GSoC. And I personally hope that's not the single
interest behind.

Thanks.

Cheers.
