Subject: Linked Data Platform Working Group now Closed

Dear Advisory Committee Representatives,
Chairs,
LDP Working Group participants

The Linked Data Platform Working Group [1] is now closed.

Over the course of three years the Linked Data Platform Working Group
has successfully produced the Linked Data Platform 1.0 Recommendation
[2] along with accompanying Group Notes on Uses Cases and Requirements
[3], Linked Data Platform 1.0 Primer [4], and LDP Best Practices and
Guidelines [5].

In addition the Group produced use cases and requirements for Linked
Data Platform Access Control [6] as well as specifications for Linked
Data Platform Paging 1.0 [7] and the Linked Data Patch Format [8].
These latter two specifications reached Candidate Recommendation however
the two required implementations did not materialize before the end of
the group charter. Rather than extend the charter the Group chose to
publish those specifications as Group Notes.

We thank the Working Group Chair, Arnaud Le Hors, and all the participants
in the group for their work.

The LDP Next Community Group [9] has been created as a forum for those
interested in the Linked Data Platform technology to discuss additional
LDP features.
