Sorry for bumping in, but I'm exactly midway between user and developer, the
kind that uses HEAD.

I was using HEAD until not-so-long ago, mostly for Cactus plugin reasons.
And I luckily obtained a version that is satisfactory for me right before
the HEAD/STABLE split, then I stopped building regularly, but that was just
due to lack of time.

I myself would love to have back an ongoing HEAD as good as it was 'til
July. And this is a praise, not a critic, please understand me.
