My understanding of the memory leak means we really need to take all of what is on HEAD, so the process for releasing RC1 will involve merging the fixes from the stable branch down and releasing from HEAD (or branching again to polish it up while more unhindered development goes on). In fact, it is probably a good idea to start mergine the branch down at least weekly to reduce the number of conflicts. - Brett
