Emmanuel, At first, I thought you would have been better using javax.xml.parsers. DocumentBuilderFactory.setIgnoringElementContentWhitespace(true). However, according to the javadoc, that works only if you validate the XML when you parse it.
Does anyone know if there's any other solution at the parsing level rather than doing it in our business logic? I'm a bit wary of doing it in our business classes.
