Moving the .maven/ directory out of the way and forcing it to rebuild it itself made things work again. --------------------------------------------------------------------- View the issue:

Here is an overview of the issue: --------------------------------------------------------------------- Key: MAVEN-793 Summary: Maven failing on OS X Type: Bug
Status: Unassigned Priority: Major
Time Spent: Unknown Remaining: Unknown
Project: maven Versions: 1.0-beta-10
Assignee: Reporter: Henri Yandell
Created: Sat, 6 Sep 2003 8:49 PM Updated: Sat, 6 Sep 2003 8:49 PM Environment: Mac OS X 10.2, bash command line
Description: Maven has stopped working. I get the following error for 'maven jar':
INTERNAL ERROR Reference made to goal 'test:test' which has no definition.
and for 'maven site'
BUILD FAILED File...... file:/Users/hen/.maven/plugins/maven-site-plugin-1.2/ Element... attainGoal Line...... 24 Column.... 42 Goal [xdoc:register-reports] has no action definition.
I get this for any of the project.xml's for the www.osjava.org projects.
My solution will be to re-download maven in the assumption that it is somehow corrupt.
