Hi all, To those working with the core code, the fixes for MAVEN-760 and some other refactoring have been checked into the branch MAVEN_RC2_UNSTABLE. It bootstraps fine other than the checkstyle plugin.
Jason and I will be cleaning it up further and fixing the remaining bugs (outlined in a notes file added to the base directory). Anyone else with a knowledge of the core wanting to have a look at it are welcome to, and record any new problems found. Once all is working again (existing plugins should not need to be changed, unless they had existing bugs!), it will be folded back into HEAD.
