Here is an overview of the issue:
---------------------------------------------------------------------
        Key: MAVEN-1004
Summary: basePrefix isn't handled correctly when defined outside of the
contextProperties
       Type: Bug

     Status: Unassigned
   Priority: Minor

 Time Spent: Unknown
  Remaining: Unknown

    Project: maven
 Components:
             plugin-torque
   Fix Fors:
             1.1
   Versions:
             1.0-rc1

   Assignee:
   Reporter: Lo?c Minier

Environment: Windows XP; Maven Torque Plugin 3.2; Torque 3.1

Description:
When generating OM classes, Torque relies on the torque.basePrefix indication to name
classes, for example with "basePrefix = Base", torque.basePrefix is set to
${baseprefix} by the plugin.properties of maven-torque-3.2.
While thess properties correctly reach the torque-data-model element in the
"torque:om-generate" goal (an echo shows it is correctly defined), they are discarded
and the basePrefix property defined in the contextProperties property wins. (When
contextProperties isn't set, build/project.properties are used.)

Suggested fix: may be pass a basePrefix="${torque:basePrefix}" attribute to the
torque-data-model elements in plugin.jelly at lines 222 and 238 lines below. However,
this wasn't enough to fix the problem.

Workaround: define basePrefix in build/project.properties.
