Here is an overview of the issue:
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Key: MAVEN-1047
Summary: [patch] genapp uses user-defined template repository
Type: Improvement
Status: Unassigned
Priority: Major
Original Estimate: 5 minutes
Time Spent: Unknown
Remaining: 5 minutes
Project: maven
Assignee:
Reporter: Jrg Schaible
Created: Fri, 21 Nov 2003 4:04 AM
Updated: Tue, 25 Nov 2003 11:21 AM
Environment: N/A
Description:
The genapp-plugin should be able to handle user-defined repositories. The current
(undocumented) mechanism allows a user to create one in <user's
home>/.maven/templates, but that is not suitable for a company's template repository
maintained with CVS.
Proposed functionality:
Support a property maven.genapp.template.repository to define such a user-defined
repository. If the given template name is not in this repository or if no such
repository was defined, look for the template in the repository of the user's home or
as last resort in the plugin's own template repository.
Provided patch implements this and includes also a patch for the documentation (fixing
also the current undocumented feature).
