Hi! I am the creator of the plugin but haven't really touched it since a long time.
I have at the moment (temporally) 0 time for anything else then daytime work so I haven't look at your patches. I would be happy if somebody else will be take over the maintaince of this plugin or even reimplment it from the scratch. Probably the best place for such effortit would be out of the apache (maybe @sourceforge?) so the number of commiters/maintainers can be higher. At the moment AFAIK we don't have a possiblity to give access rights limited to the particualr plugin.
