Hi,
during the tests of maven archetype release i found that using Maven
3.0.5 produced the following messages....

[WARNING] Some problems were encountered while building the effective
model for org.apache.maven.plugins:maven-archetype-plugin:maven-plugin:2.3
[WARNING] 'reporting.plugins.plugin.version' for
org.apache.maven.plugins:maven-plugin-plugin is missing. @ line 160,
column 15
[WARNING]
[WARNING] It is highly recommended to fix these problems because they
threaten the stability of your build.
[WARNING]
[WARNING] For this reason, future Maven versions might no longer support
building such malformed projects.
[WARNING]
[INFO]

with all other maven versions i don't saw this WARNING's has someone an
idea about this?
