Deprecate ok, but don't remove it yet.
If tests depend on relative paths there could be issues.

project to a different folder (usually target/it) ?
The longer i think about this i come to the conclusions it does not make
really sense...
The consequence of this would be to deprecate the possibility not to
clone....
