I don't think I need a branch for it. I only did a couple of branches for
those component related to Aether and Artifacts, shared-utils should be
fine.

I have only problem with the dependency maven-core which was tools having
scope=provided. Very strict enforcer may fail the build on this
dependency,
therefore I would prefer having protected scope rather than excluding
transitive dependency in whatever project. You know what I mean. For me
maven-core is something like Weld container in JBoss and there api-spec
dependencies are never compile.
