@sergei-ivanov can you take a look at what @rfscholte suggested.
After running it manually suggested by you, things works for root but not
working for submodules.
Also release-pom.xml should not get checked-in, thats why i think we had
the git rm to remove those.
Once we add the pom and release-pom.xml to git tag, we need to remove the
release-pom.xml from tag.
