Hi, Jgit provider exposes password if it contains special characters : SCM-817<https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SCM-817> (https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SCM-817) was fixed in maven-scm-api 1.9.5 which was released in July 1st, 2016. maven-scm-api 1.9.6 has even been released since then. However, maven-release-plugin has not been updated with it so far. I found a waiting pull request <https://github.com/apache/maven-release/pull/7> (https://github.com/apache/maven-release/pull/7) doing this on github, but I don't know if/how this repository is monitored, as your doc page states your official repository is a svn one. So my questions are:
* Is there any chance you release a maven-release-plugin 2.5.4 depending on maven-scn-api 1.9.5 or 1.9.6 somedays in a not too far future? * What more can be done to help this happen?
