I declared a dependency as provided, but the shade plugin still includes its transitive dependencies in the uber-jar. To demonstrate the issue, I created following repository: https://github.com/cerveada/shade-plugin-issue Using the poms and instructions in the repo it should be easy to replicate the issue.
