-1 to switch to logback or log4j (in particular v2 which is still slow and fatty). Think what we need is a good system prop config, can be achieved with jul (ex: https://www.yupiik.io/yupiik-logging/jul-integration.html). What I like with mvnd is not logback but the jansi/terminal usage which helps to keep active tasks shown.
