Hey Gary,

I agree the new UI is bad. Its far slower than the old and for those of us
that are on there constantly, speed matters. The new layout is too confusing
and trying to find the artifacts from what I've seen requires going into
different pages to see and the order sorting is a mess for some things like
tomcat that take far too long to find what versions.

I think the new UI would be far better if it had some of the power usage that
the old did.

Few observations, there are items that are new that don't show on the old
anymore and same goes on new that are showing on old instead.

I know initially it gave you a chance to block the redirect. I think that
might have gone away or is cached. Now, I have no issues getting to either.
You might want to try to clear your catch and then try 'search.maven.org' again
to see if it stays or pops that popup that you can get excluded on the redirect.

Due to the mentioned issues, I ended up saving off both and go to either or
based on what I'm seeing in those limited cases where things do not give well.
I've even opened some tickets at various projects where its messed up but
haven't heard any resolution. Seems the back end data is different...I have
however mostly been using latest and just dealing with it.

Subject: Class MC UI trick?

Do you have a trick to get the Classic UI for Maven Central?

My go to search.maven.org flashes the old UI in Firefix and then redirects to
https://central.sonatype.com/?smo=true

I really don't like the new UI :( It takes up way to much space for tool little
information.

Sigh, progress,
Gary
