I'd much prefer we have separate set of mailing lists for Maven2. There are several cvs modules in cvs for maven, quite a few of these could be consolidated into a [EMAIL PROTECTED] and [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Maven 1 will be active for quite a while and the dev list seems to be a dumping ground for maven2 related emails.
