Setting up or getting access to s390x and ppc64el machines can sometimes
be easier than setting up a machine with Windows. Once set up, they act
just like any other Linux system.
Below are some options:
1. QEMU on Linux
You can emulate these architectures use QME on your own Linux
workstation. An old emulation bug on s390x that I ran into with Java
should be fixed and available in any QEMU package by now. [1]
2. OSU Open Source Lab for ppc64el
The Oregon State University provides access to real POWER (ppc64el)
machines for open-source projects, both for development and for
continuous integration.

3. Marist College for s390x
Marist College provided me temporary access to a real s390x machine,
shown here:

But now it seems that the OSU Open Source Lab will provide access to the
Marist College system for open-source projects, perhaps on a more
long-term basis. That's great news!
