I cannot add reviewers to my pull request. The committers could add a CODEOWNERS file to the .github directory with the current reviewers. GitHub would then automatically request those code owners to review any pull request that modifies code that they own. Could that be a solution?

I have a couple of open PRs myself, what I tend to do is mention/ping committers and hope for a response. Most of the time you get one but it is difficult to keep track I can imagine. But you would have to know who to ping, who is actively watching, who knows most about a plug-in, etc. I personally don’t want to keep pinging as it feels a bit rude/impatient to me. It would be nice if we can figure out a workflow for this to improve contributions from non-commiters that works for both sides. I currently think it’s easier to start due to the move to GitHub but requires some thoughts on making it smoother to review and merge. WDYT?
