No. We are close to alpha-1 and beeing able to build m2 with m2 and deploy/install artifacts. > 2) Where is the best place to find documentation? It's not yet meant to be widely used and there is not much documentation. But it is not that fundamentally differnt from m1 from end user perspective and most of docs for m1 are valid for m2 > 3) Is there a CVS module and/or branch for it?) yes > 4) Is there a plugin plugin for m2, yet? yes > 5) How much support will be available for maven1 (and for how > long)? Are there plans for a maven 1.1 prior to Maven 2, etc? > Here you are at our mercy and nobody will tell you for how long exactly support will be available. Maven 1.x will be supported as long as some maven developper will be willing to dedicate its time to do it. M1 surly can still be used in a years from now and nobody will be forced to switch to m2 Anyway probably most of the work in 1.x branch will be dedicated to maven plugins which have been mostly decupled from maven core.
