Here is an overview of the issue:
---------------------------------------------------------------------
        Key: MAVEN-1376
    Summary: Document snapshot releases
       Type: Improvement

     Status: Unassigned
   Priority: Minor

 Original Estimate: Unknown
 Time Spent: Unknown
  Remaining: Unknown

    Project: maven
   Versions:
             1.0

   Assignee:
   Reporter: Graham Triggs

    Created: Thu, 15 Jul 2004 5:37 AM
    Updated: Thu, 15 Jul 2004 5:37 AM
Environment: Windows XP

Description:
I've just started using the multichanges report with our project / subprojects, and
noticed that it does not list any information about projects that are currently in
-SNAPSHOT status - listing them only as 'Not released yet'.

Would it not be better if the default behaviour was to actually list the last
non-snapshot release number, and it's release date, and to also flag in some way that
it is currently under development if it is a -SNAPSHOT?

Maybe something like:

Project name | Current version | Last Release | Released date

Where current version = last release if not a -SNAPSHOT, and last release and released
date = Not yet released when there are only -SNAPSHOT releases.
