I ran test07 again in JDK 1.3 and 1.4 and it failed in both. I'm using
pristine maven 1.0 though (I don't think it makes a difference, but who
knows...)

Which javadoc problem, JAVADOC-40 or JAVADOC-42? I think you're
referring to JAVADOC-40, which I reopened. I'm not really working on it,
as there were too many changes since the last 2 revisions, so I just
reopened it. But if the test is not failing for you, than I can reassign
it to me.

Regarding JAVADOC-42, I think the best solution would be fixing the
report to handle JDK 1.3 warnings. I could do that too, but it would be
faster if Steve (the author of the original patch on JAVADOC-35) did so
and send us a patch (as he more familiar on how the report works).
