Brett Porter updated MNG-313: ----------------------------- Description: given that the parent poms are being used as aggregation points this makes more sense. The dependencies themselves will later be included due to inheritence (though maybe it is a good idea to include the dependencies too in case all the children decided not to inherit?) was: given that the parent poms are being used as aggregation points this makes more sense. The dependencies themselves will later be included due to inheritence (though maybe it is a good idea to include the dependencies too in case all the children decided not to inherit?) Fix Version: (was: 2.0-alpha-3) 2.0-beta-1 Environment: I'll reconsider this next release, but I'm not entirely confident of doing it this way in the first place, and it requires somehow resolving <modules> from being a path name to a g/artifact Id (which would be a good thing). the workaround is to create a pom that contains deps on all the others which is quite common anyway. This is how things like the ear plugin currently work too, so is also tied into the aggregation concept and should be revisited together > POM dependency should transitively take the modules, not the dependencies > ------------------------------------------------------------------------- > > Key: MNG-313 > URL: http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/MNG-313 > Project: Maven 2 > Type: Improvement > Reporter: Brett Porter > Assignee: Brett Porter > Fix For: 2.0-beta-1 > > > given that the parent poms are being used as aggregation points this makes > more sense.
