It *should* be mentioned that Maven 2 uses the http.proxyHost and
http.proxyPort system properties in the Maven FAQ
or the Getting Started Guide:
http://maven.apache.org/guides/getting-started/index.html
The 'maven.proxy.host' and 'maven.proxy.port' properties mentioned in the
Properties reference *do not* work:
http://maven.apache.org/reference/properties.html
I struggled for twenty minutes with the wrong system properties before thinking
of setting the normal java http proxy properties.
