William Ferguson commented on MECLIPSE-9:
-----------------------------------------

Still fails for Maven 2.0.2 on Windows 2000.

The org.eclipse.jdt.core.classpathVariable.M2_REPO is being set in the correct
Eclipse prefs file, but its the triple backslash between the drive letter and
colon that causes the problem.

NB the "Guide to using Eclipse with Maven 2.x"
http://maven.apache.org/guides/mini/guide-ide-eclipse.html should also be
updated to say that it no longer fails (once it has been fixed).

> So I ran
> mvn eclipse:add-maven-repo
> -Declipse.workspace="C:\usr\app-data\current\eclipse\ws\sandbox"
> and got a org.eclipse.jdt.core.prefs file generated, obviously in the wrong
> place because of MNG-1344. The contents of the file were
> org.eclipse.jdt.core.classpathVariable.M2_REPO=C:\Documents and
> Settings\ccrouch\.m2\repository
> copying this line into my actual correct org.eclipse.jdt.core.prefs did *not*
> produce the M2_REPO class path variable.
> It turned out the path needed to be escaped. So the following line worked...
> org.eclipse.jdt.core.classpathVariable.M2_REPO=C\:/Documents and
> Settings/ccrouch/.m2/repository
