Thanks Brett,

The checkstyle individual mojo based approach seems more flexible.
Having thought about my requirement some more i have a further question.
Bascially what i want to do is create a 'build summary/status' jetspeed Rss
portlet to give headline <items> for the last (continuum) build. So i wish to
transform elements of the build output to Rss format. This would then navigate
through to standard generated maven reports
I believe Ant has its -logger switch which allows the use of the Ant Xml
logger. I think cruisecontrol uses this option for building and then applies a
stylesheet or some such. I'm wondering if there is a simple way to get maven to
output its build in this way, so i can apply an rss stylesheet to publish the
build headlines. Can i configure maven logging via a system property at runtime?

TIA

Adam

A sink is one alternative, as long as you can make a sensible mapping
from section levels, tables, paragraphs, etc to RSS markup.

You might like to do something specialised like checkstyle did too -
that would be done in the individual mojo.
