Hello everyone,

First off, I'd like to thank Maven team for developing this great tool. I'm
really enjoying it.

What I'd like to address though is the default encoding of Maven;
ISO-8859-1. Why don't we just use UTF-8 as a default value? Is there any
reason for using ISO-8859-1?

Some plugins doesn't support input encodings so there's no way to use other
charsets than that of ISO-8859-1, which is a blocker for people in Asia. It
it were UTF-8, we could at least publish pages in Asian languages even
though we cannot use our traditional encodings such as EUC-KR and EUC-JP.
