I've taken a first crack at a comprehensive discussion of the POM, and only the POM, in its entirety. It tops out at over 9000 words, 14 diagrams and probably 40 examples. Although I feel confident that this a fairly acurate representation, it undoubtedly has some technical faults. Also, forgive my creation of terms and labling, but I do believe it makes it easier to wrap one's head around the massive file that is POMzilla.
