This is the main concern. We should be cutting releases this week, and fewer people using the snapshots off of Apache.
I'm curious why a maven-proxy in the middle doesn't alleviate this issue for you.
We should certainly determine a good practice for snapshots in general, as well as the role of Continuum in publishing them. Once we are past these releases, I think that would be a good time to discuss that.
