seriously, what is the state of the plugin for 2.0.x? I have meanwhile
detected, that the assembly plugin is one of the view plugins, that have a
separate branch for 2.0.x. Unfortunately the branch and trunk are really
different :-/

Well, I am currently trying to move our current M102 based system to M204 (2nd
attempt after I had major problems with M201 back in Dec). We use a lot the
javaapp plugin and so the assembly plugin as "official" replacement is an
absolute requierement.

I did not do any M2 plugin development yet, but I am really interested in
having a javaapp replacement for the current official released Maven version.
