Apparently not. :( And comments don't come through in the email from JIRA when you attach a patch, so: The welcome file list is there and includes index.html, but the DoxiaFilter doesn't get applied. I remember Tomcat 4.1 used to redirect to welcome files-- then it would work. Jetty's release notes [1] say they switched from redirecting to forwarding to welcome files in version 3.0.0.rc8.
