Oh sorry I was sure it was when you have a timestamp in your filename. Maybe I should test it again. Anyway, I just think there should a big note on the web site about this issue somewhere until the new version is released because it's really confusing at first. I spent a lot of time figuring out why Maven wasn't downloading the newer snapshots.
