Nope, I'm just doing it and will present the changes as we approach
the finish on trunk. The only one who's ever touch it is myself,
Kenny, Brett, and Dan. Basically it's an opaque black box which no
one can understand. Now it's a simple Ant build with an easy way to
integrate user submitted ITs. This is one small part of getting the
whole system working again clearly and properly.
Once I start knocking off the issues they will be one's that exist in
JIRA. Right now I'm cleaning up the infrastructure. I have not
started cleaning up JIRA yet which is also a mess.

I still have blocking issues with the embedder for the ear mojo tests
and I would like to solve them to release it.

No. Until the testing is under control I won't look at the embedder.

Probably not unless you are intimately familiar with Maven's core.
