I plan to take this up in alpha-3. Alpha-2 is basically ready to be released right now, just need to figure out the new process and call a vote.

Yeah, I'd be +1 merging maven-dependency-analyzer-plugin into maven-dependency-plugin as previously discussed. It could be merged into trunk since it's rather unobtrusive, but feel free to branch if needs be.
