maven.test.skip was just built into surefire as a convenience for development, since naturally skipping tests should not be a habit or common practice.
If you want to open a JIRA about it (I wouldn't be surprised if one exists somewhere anyway) if I were you, I would instead expand the scope to be able to skip entire phases - which seems generally more useful - rather than it being up to individual plugins to enact (or not) this behavior. -- Eric Redmond http://blog.propellors.net On 8/17/07, Joerg Hohwiller <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- > Hash: SHA1 > > Hi there, > > I noticed that maven.test.skip is just a convenience property specially > interpreted by plugins like surefire. > Besides I could NOT find a way to skip integration-tests when tests are > configured to run in that phase instead.
