FYI, 

 

You can compile test classes and still use maven.test.skip=true if you
have the compliler plugin configured as followings:

 

        <plugin>

          <groupId>org.apache.maven.plugins</groupId>

          <artifactId>maven-compiler-plugin</artifactId>

          <version>2.0.2</version>

          <configuration>

            <skip>false</skip>

          </configuration>

        </plugin>
