I'm pretty sure the email spelled out the replacement of the code. Let
me check....yep:
" Preparing that release will need to do these things:
1. move the current archetype code
(svn.apache.org/repos/asf/maven/archetype/trunk) to a branch
(.../branches/archetype-1.0.x)
2. move the current archetypeng
(svn.apache.org/repos/asf/maven/sandbox/trunk/archetypeng) to to the
old archetype trunk"

branches/archetype-1.0.x/ trunk/

Rafale,

This is cool - but shouldn't all the 'ng' references also be removed
from the code now too?

And this implication was not entirely clear to me from the vote - I
think some people may have been voting on a test release of
archetypeng as a separate entity that wouldn't affect current
archetype users.

Thanks,
Brett
