I've put this back to beta-2.

core (though it should). I have found a fix for that - I am just
working on an integration test first. This allow you to specify the
version you want, removing the auto-upgrade issue Brian highlighted.
Fixed with some limitations but should achieve what is needed.
Integration tests pass. Hope this is suitable for everyone!
