I also prefer to have at least 2.2 released before moving it to branch,
but IMO this could happen much sooner. I don't think it's realistic to
maintain both for over a year, but you are the RM. :)

I'm not sure which way is best to go.
As I see it, we will have activity on both 2.x and 3.x for at least a
