A colleague of mine just discovered that jdk1.6 compilation is
*massively* slower
due to javac constantly trying to resolve the manifest class-path
element for every jar file it opens.
He claims this increases his compilation time from 5 seconds -> 30
seconds, and was
introduced with http://bugs.sun.com/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=4212732
He has a temporary workaround which is to remove the manifest file, and
he's considering
deploying modified versions to his local nexus.
Anyone have any other fixes for this or any other solutions ?
