Dave in order to hope on board someone just needs to drive a development of the packaging code, which you guys apparently have already. Hence, perhaps some tweaking would be in order to integrate it with the rest of Bigtop stuff.
We also actively using Puppet for deployment of the clusters, hence it could be helpful for Mesos as such.
