Vinod Kone commented on MESOS-684:
----------------------------------
I was talking to [~kevints] about this yesterday. Publishing python artifacts
to pypi is a great idea. I'm not familiar with the process so any help would be
appreciated. In the short term, publishing the eggs for some major platforms in
a well known location (e.g: https://dist.apache.org/repos/dist/release/mesos/)
is also an option.
On a related note we have previously discussed about having VMs setup on Apache
Jenkins cluster for testing Mesos on different platforms. It would also be
useful for building these eggs. Any thoughts on when/if this could be setup?

> Currently, when we tag a release candidate, we never upload the relevant
> artifacts (e.g., mesos jar) for the community to be able to test it. It would
> be great if we can have a script to automate this.
> Since we also support Python, we could (should?) also publish a mesos egg to
> somewhere in Apache?
