Is it necessarily a bad thing for multiple frameworks to use the same
principal? I can imagine some situations where this would be useful/necessary.
You may even want all of these same-principal frameworks (e.g. every instance
of Spark) to share counters. Just wanted to make sure that you're not
disallowing the reuse of principals.
