I'm sure that there are circumstances where this would be useful, and I'm not
opposed to adding it. I just wanted to make sure we weren't bloating the stout
API for a one-off, with this simple scenario being the primary/only motivation.
As such, I don't think that this needs to be a hard dependency for HTTP Auth to
land, but if this lands first, HTTP Auth can/should make use of it.
